ORIGINAL PRINTS

Prints in this series are hand-colored with Louisiana coffee.
The coffee is mixed in the colored inks or used black. This technique warms the hues of each print, giving each a true Louisiana flavor.

Print only: 9"x12" | Hand-colored and numbered print edition

• Remarque: In additional to the hand-coloring, the remarque is an original, pencil drawing added to the print by the artist. This adds to the collectible aspect of the artwork.

• Matted: 11"x 14" | Artist-designed gold foil hand-embossed matting
**Fits standard  11"x14" frame size

About the Print

My Daddy threw a castnet for shrimp at sunrise and, as young twins, my brother and I picked what fell from the emptied net. What a thrill to lift shrimp by the whiskers and hold them skyward. Especially, when they’re alive and thrashing and soon ready to cook in a gumbo, an étouffée, or to boil with potatoes! Yum!

Now, my fresh shrimp are inked on paper and colored to reflect the sunrise. The first hues are rendered with pencil colors, then Gulf Brown Shrimp receive a light brush of coffee.
